Mark Sumwalt is a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina who has practiced law in Charlotte since 1981, primarily in the field of worker’s compensation. He has litigated hundreds of cases to decision all over the state.

Meredith has been with the firm and its predecessors since 1994. She was a founding staff member of the The Sumwalt Law Firm in 1999. As our office administrator, her responsibilities include the firm’s business affairs and day-to day operations. Meredith is active with the community theater outreach ministry of her church and loves spending time with her family.
Tammie is one of our legal assistants. She is responsible primarily for the maintenance of workers’ compensation client files. She has been with the firm and its predecessors since 1994 and was a founding staff member of The Sumwalt Law Firm in 1999. Tammie is a native Charlottean who enjoys lake life with her two dogs.
Melissa is one of our legal assistants. Previously with Price Petho & Anderson since 2008, she continues to be responsible for managing both workers’ compensation and personal injury files through the claims and litigation process. Melissa is a native Charlottean who graduated from Belmont Abbey College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter.
Lynda began her career with Price & Smith Attorneys at Law in 1979, filling the roles of both office manager and legal assistant. She now shares her legal assistant experience with us and is responsible primarily for personal injury claims. Before working in the legal field, Lynda taught elementary school for ten years. She enjoys exercise, cooking, traveling the world, and looking for new adventures.
Donna joined our firm in 2019 as our administrative assistant. In addition to routing phone calls and greeting visitors to our office, she provides invaluable administrative support for everyone on staff. Donna is very active in Charlotte’s yoga community and enjoys being outdoors or spending time with her niece.
